Rollin Thunder

I picked up my CW45 last night from my FFL, field stripped and and cleaned her up. Thanks to this forum, I was ahead of the learning curve on that one.
This morning, I paced the floor until the range opened at 10:00, then I put 100 rounds of Federal ammo through it, without a hitch.
Either the preparation paid off or I was overly paranoid from reading some of these threads.
A couple of observations:
1. Personally, I don't care for the "hind end" sights although my grouping was dead center, it was low and tight from (10 yds. out) maybe 3 inches in the eight and nine rings. I started working my way up to the bull. By the time I got to the bull, my sight picture didn't look like an "8" or a snowman, it looked like two dots miles away from one another. It could be the looooong pull, but I'm getting new sights, this justifies it.
Did I mention I sold a gun I really liked, but had Heinie sights on it and I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn from the inside...seriously! There's something about an old dog and new tricks here.
2. Did I mention the looooong trigger pull? Geeze Loueeze, I thought I'd have to go out to the truck and hook up a rope to the trigger.
I'm sure I'll get used to it, but you're talking about an old 1911 guy here... triggers are world apart. Again, this old dog needs to learn some new tricks.
3. Every once in awhile, the ejector would toss one at my forehead. It seemed to be at the fourth or fifth round, maybe not. Other than that the ejection's were a thing of beauty.
4. She's a keeper, after all, she's just got a hundred rounds through the pipe. You guy's certainly had me concerned with some of the posts I've read.
I will recommend the CW45 without reservation. I have to put another couple hundred rounds through it and It'll become my EDC.
Thanks again for all the insight!
