Glad to get to shoot the new PM45 after reading manual and the helpful sticky 1st time user guide.

Very happy w/ how it feels and accuracy was much better than expected w/ a 4" group on 1st six shots out of her at 12 yards. Especially since shooting out in the desert w/ a breeze blowing on my "in route" make shift two sticks of re-bar and cardboard w/ target stapled to it! *thanks political advertisers who leave your garbage for creative recycling purposes. :001_tt2:

50 rounds of Federal 230 grain - Flawless
100 rounds of TulAmmo 230 grain - 3 FTE

*I feel if I would have used the more expensive Federal brass ammo instead of the steel cased TulAmmo it would have been 100% flawless.

Overall very happy with my choice of companions on her 1st date! :D

Experienced 0 of the few spent casing facials posts I read about on forum but was prepped w/ hat, eyes and ears just in case she misbehaved.

Put some rounds through my LCP afterwards.... though it does have it's uses and is a nice lil bug, the PM45 was not only much more pleasant to shoot but also more accurate. It will definitely be taking the place of Elsie a majority of the time once i have cycled more rounds through her including the sd ammo of choice.

How is the recoil on the little fella? As an older shooter who favors heavier guns, especially in .40 I am curious. I do shoot the pm9, p380, mk40, and a springer 45 so I am used to recoil but just curious about the pm45.

PBJ, Don't desecrate that fine weapon with any more of that steel cased crap.
Promise me? Glad you had such a good first range session despite your sinful ways.

hollander, if your ok with an MK40 you'll get along just fine with a PM45. I have a K40 and between the two for pleasurable shooting I'd take the 45 any day of the week.

have to agree, sometimes some of this "bargain" priced ammo is not so good a bargain. Now if one can steal it for a damn great bargain price and acknowledge to the fact that it might give some feed issues etc, then for range foddeer WHY NOT. Also it is a good TAP, RACK AND BANG DRILL.

I tend to shy away form any steel cased ammo, some never have an issue with it either, some guns eatum like candy.

as bad as I hate to I have to agree with Bawanna. He is so wise. I take notes when he speaks. Kinda like when Obama speaks:banplease:

Happy to hear that the Federal shot flawless for you.

Is the steel used for the casings a lot less harder than the extractor steel? I hope so.

My CM9 ate the snot out of that steel Tul ammo crap. But OMG! Is it the dirtiest stuff ever! Ugh! I cleaned for what seemed like ever to get my baby clean afterwards! But still, my cm9 just devours (sic?) everything it touches!

When I broke in my PM45 I used American Eagle ammo and shot all 200 rounds in the same range session. Had no problems whatsoever. It really is amazing how accurate these guns are. And for some reason I really shoot the PM45 better than any other gun I have. I just love it.
