I would not have chanced it either, if I had a warranty. My penchant for good deals has me 99% of the time buying used though, which is sans a warranty. That has had me many times buying others problems. As necessity is the mother of inventions, I’ve experienced that it is also the mother of improvisation and the need to learn new skills. I would have rather been able to send said problems in on a makers dime for repairs. The price is paid, one way or the other I guess! Would sometimes have saved the knuckle skin and buying of rarely used tools. I have been lucky to not have mucked anything up so far. In times like that I’m thankful for my Navy engineer background. That, along with being a budget hot rodder and drag racer in the past (My best friends dad, who I really respected as a man’s man, was a Navy Seal and a motor head). I am glad to hear they did it right for you. As much as those lil Kimbers cost I think you deserved the good treatment you and your gun received. What kind of oil do you apply to the grips? I’m just wondering if I should use oil instead of wax, but am concerned about oil coming off where I don’t want it, or making a grip slippery. I doubt you’d be doing so if that was the case.
Finger nail polish? I was kinda wondering if we’d start seeing drag time range hour posts around here at some point! Maybe just a matter of time the way things are going. I dunno. I did buy a really soft t-shirt the other day though. While it is silky and sensual, man boobs are a real thing. I can promise you that shirt is never gonna see the outside of my home. Got a reputation to protect and stuff like that should be kept hidden. Kinda like nail polish under yer grips. Know what I mean man!?!?!:biggrin1:
I know exactly what you mean dude, at around 55 or so my once pretty decent ars decided to change directions and move to my middle section and now I got man boobs too, WTF how in the world did this happen because I ain’t never been a Bud Lite drinker so that can’t be it…….Getting old and gravity really sucks……..
Hey, some of my sights sport pretty white nail polish!
Never thought of O rings as thread lock, I’ll see if I can find some.
Nail polish works good, go lightly, it is almost like Blue Loctite. Little tiny star washers from hardware store also work.
Right?
