good job man! glad i could help you out. once you get the hang of it you will find tons of stuff around the house that need to be stippled. Flashlights, Playstation controllers, beard trimmers (useful when you buzz your bald head like i do) etc

That exact thought went thru my head. There won't be a smooth surface left in the house. I hope I don't stipple my head, it's pretty smooth too.
I was surprised how fast it went. All total I bet I didn't play for half an hour. I'm pleased with the sides and may even add a bit more. The front and back strap need a little more attention but I got a plan.
Thanks for giving me the little push to have at it. I hadn't seen your little video before I did my mag bases. I cranked up kahrtalk to look at the pictures of yours and then saw the video. Found I was doing pretty much the same thing so figured I was close to being on track.
OK I'm stupid, couldn't move my pictures from the February thread over here so I'll just trip up the crystal ball and post em again over here. I feel the need to make amends for posting those horrible pictures in # 143. I was proud but after looking again I did a pretty poor job.
So here's the same gun after makeover # 2.
Now if you can just figure out how to get the camera to focus where you want it to... :)
Baby steps scoundrel, baby steps. It took 3 years of personal one on one tutoring from Old Lincoln before I could post a picture. Now I gotta learn what to do with all them buttons on the camera. Apparently auto isn't the correct mode.
:D
"Auto" is the mode I use most often. But, I often tell the camera to "try again" on the focus 5 or 6 times before I let it go ahead and take the picture.
Time, it's all about time. I get lucky sometimes but sometimes in my haste to brag and show off I get in a hurry. Plus I feel like something the cat drug in today so my efforts were very weak I'm afraid.
Bawanna, I found a nice metal full size tripod with multiple levels and adjustment features for just $14. That will take care of the focusing issue, which is worse when taking pictures indoors with limited light. Now, I need to get off my lazy butt and take some pics. I'll definitely do it when I get my J-frame back from Ahlman's.
Baby steps, Time, and Laziness. I have a couple tripods of different heights, always used them for spotting scopes when I shot outside. Never hung the camera on one but I surely will next time. Most of my pics are inside, to much work and too many trips to do much outside.
Anything else? I got an excuse for most anything.
I told the missus I should get a S&W 1911 like Greg got, she stuck her tongue out at me and used unlady like language, BUT on the same day she took some old scrap jewelry to one of them gold buying places. Got over 800 big ones. AND she gave me half!!!! Had it 2 days now but I been sick...........
I hung a camera on the spotting scope, on the tripod. :)
