They still make the ARX ammo. Inceptor Ammo is the company. Used to be Polycase then over to Ruger...now back to their own thing.

In my back yard testing, there's really an issue trying to get the smaller calibers to do any mushrooming. If I shoot into anything with any hardness, they do very poorly. That's one reason why I like bigger bullets.................................
I would just like to echo what other folks have said: avoid ANY Fiocchi ammo!!! I saw some top-of-the-line Fiocchi ammo for an incredibly good price a while back so I bought a couple of boxes for my CW380 -- big mistake. I had problems with it frequently failing to fire -- the primers would be properly indented but the rounds would not ignite. I have had no problems of any kind with any other ammo.
With .380 you want penetration more than expansion which is where the light weight ARX style bullets really shine……In several real world tests I’ve read the old style Federal Hydra-Shok bullets did the best with penetration even though expansion wasn’t consistent but it beat out many of the newer designed bullets that expanded much better but didn’t penetrate far enough to be a stopper……
Personally, I've never had a problem with penetration with any caliber. If I'm going to pay a dollar or more per round, I want expansion also. I've found in my own testing that larger calibers have much better expansion and larger wound channels. They are also cheaper. Gel tests just don't do it for me. Not real world. Especially in cold months where there are many layers of clothing involved and human bone. Car glass would also be a big issue. Around these parts, people are bundled up 5 months of the year. If expansion isn't a concern, a .22 cal. HP penetrates over 12 inches in gel. Why wouldn't someone just carry a .22. Cheap, easy to shoot, accurate. Some do. Nill expansion....................
God I love internet caliber wars.

Sure like to have me one of those. I don't think that you'd have to worry about expansion...................
They are not allowed at my local indoor range.
