Seeking opinions- Do you think it's too early for a Marlin 45/70 for the grandson. It's heavy, should soak up some of the recoil. Maybe better wait another 6 or 8 months?
I would say as soon as he can hold it should be good! He does need to be able to start practicing with it soon.....so don't delay. :laser:
Let me know how that works out bawanna. I don't exactly have a granson yet but got one on the way!! My dtr's 14 weeks pregnant. :)
You'll love having a grandson or granddaughter. I have 3, to boys and a girl. It's awesome. I love messin with the baby, he's just getting to a fun stage at about 7 months. The granddaughter is 10 or 11 (I guess I should know) and grandson is 8 or 9. They are a lot of fun too. Just got them into shooting this last summer. Boy, loves it.
One of the many embarrassing moments for me came in about 1976 I think, I had just bought a brand new Kawasaki 900 and I was pretty hot after a girl from high school named Gwen……She was a hottie and I wanted to show off my new bike and impress her to maybe take a ride with me…..It was July in Georgia and HOT as hell when I pulled up to her house and put the side stand down then threw my leg over the seat leaning back looking cool with my shades on when she came out and things were going really great until the hot asphalt gave way and the bike fell over with me looking at the girl of my dreams one minute then looking at the sky the next…….The worst thing was, my skinny 150 lb ass couldn’t pick the bike up and she had to go get her father to come out and help me get it back on the stand………Story of my life…..

"Seatbelts! We don't need no stinking seatbelts"
Found this survivor on the floor of a Dallas area Subaru dealership yesterday afternoon.
Don't see many of those around anymore.
