I have thought of getting trigger/action work on my SP01, but it is so good from the factory, after break in , why pay for it.
I will admit, my PCR which is a DA/SA with decocker was not as nice, but it only has about 3000 rounds so far.
I've read that the Shadow 2 is "best of the best" for the CZ guns, right out of the box.
Really came close to buying a Shadow 2 Compact.
But as I was looking for a carry gun.
Was concerned that the trigger might be too light for carry (for me anyway).
I've had super lite triggers with super short resets in the past and got unintended double taps
Seems like ~4 lbs for SA is the sweet spot for me :D
(The Truth About Guns tested a DW Valor at 4.25 lbs, and I love my V-Bob).
I even vacillated over lightening the 75 Compact trigger for the same reason.
Honestly the factory trigger seemed really good to me right out of the box :)
I just had to see what all the fuss was about with these Cajunized guns and took a leap of faith.
In dry fire the SA doesn't feel super lite (hair trigger) or the reset ultra short, I think it will work.
I did keep the factory TRS rather than using the CGW lite TRS for a slightly heavier SA.
Plan on sending a few hundred rounds down range tomorrow and find out.
Also have concerns about lite primer strikes too.
The gunsmith did fire 10 rounds as a function check.
Wish me Luck!
Update:
I've also been worried the CZ 75 being all steel might be too heavy to carry as well.
Almost bought a PCR for that reason.
Just made a grocery run and found the CZ Compact very comfortable to carry!
Just like trigger pulls, there's definitely a "sweet spot" for weight of a loaded carry gun and spare mags.
This feels like that sweet spot for me.
A quality belt and holster really make a difference.
And I find ballistic nylon dual mag pouches, worn in the horizontal position, makes for very comfortable carry of 15 round high cap mags.
Also conceals better I feel.
Super Happy so far with my new gun.
All my worrying for nothing - LOL!
