Actually, I DID use ArmorALL! ...
I hate to admit it, but I was just 'futzin' aroun'" with this stuff ...
... and I immediately wiped it all off after the photo-session ended!
FYI, I labored quite a bit over this particular shot of my BNIB 9094, ...
... but I am ALSO not beyond using GIMP ... http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...ches_GREAT.gif ...... when/if I 'need a hand' to bring something to life! ...
I've had Gimp2.
Hmmmm, I can see a CM40 and CW45 in my future.... black of course.
I really like those in all black
Pretty amazing how the black cerakote changes the whole look of the guns. Doesn't have that "economy model" look to them.
I have popped my Kahr cherry.

Sweet photo bassgunner!!
The leather background is a nice touch.
Photography is one of my other hobbies too. I might need to pick your brain on how you set up this photo.
My favorite firearm.......................
With a lot of work & a lot of love ... or so we've been told. I love the look, but I'm not that dedicated.
A 10" polish wheel and a bunch of polishing compound would do it pretty quick. i used to sharpen and polish wood carving knives in about 2 minutes with a bench grinder with that attachment.
These slide are very hard though too. The barrel and chamber hood polish up easy, the mag also but that slide takes some real effort.
I started my PM45 and got it pretty shiny but not that level. Went with fine sandpaper through finer and finer grits then the wheel. As I said not that level or even close but pretty nice.
I don't have a large buffer wheel either, 6" I think. Bigger would probably help too.
Yea. The barrel polished up super easy.

It has a nickel finish but the slide is pretty hard.
I tried polishing up the inside where I makes contact with the barrel and it still isn't that good.
Every time I see that polished 9 I want to do my 45. But it shows scratches like crazy. The first time I used mine after I polished the barrel, it was scratched to hell from the slide.

They're isn't much difference in size between that PM9 and PM45, huh?
Actually the 45 is considerably larger. I had my 45 awhile and a couple officers got PM9's. I was surprised how much smaller.
We're not talking inches of course but there is a difference.
My dad has a pm45 and we compared it to my CW45. I was really surprised. I thought it was gonna be a lot smaller, like my buddies CM9 is.
I think I'll get the Sub 9.
From when I still had my CM9:

Greg, do you use a $4million camera or is it the glorious Arizona sunshine that makes your pictures come out so great? Please don't tell me it's talent...:o
Thanks.
