    Default Helpful Training

I'm subscribed to their newsletter that just puts my head back in the game monthly with these new, everyday training ideas that you can incorporate into your daily routine. This is also the guy that conducts CCW courses here in Missouri and who gave me my instruction.
I hope you find it useful!

I read a few articles so far. They make sound recommendations and present real-world senerios.

Here's a few stats that always get me ranting:

According to the FBI, 2009 crime statistics:
    There were 69,191 home robberies.
    • 6,025 homes per DAY in the U.S. are burglarized.
    • Burglaries account for 23.6% of all the estimated number of property crimes.
    • 61% (1,341,466.25) of all burglaries involved forcible entry.
    • 20% (445,136) at night
    • 37.2% (818,167) during the day
The daytime stats always bug me. I can't recall the number of people that have said to me "I don't lock my house up during the day... no burglar would dare to break in!!'
Why don't people wake up and realize that home invasion and burglary are two separate crimes. Invaders WANT you to be home. Isn't that reason enough to lock up? You worry more about your TV being stolen that your family being slaughtered????

    Thank you!

I'm a strong believer and proponent of the type of practice, training and shooting shown in the "Close Quarter Battle (CQB) Training Tip" feature, for those of us who CC. A very important piece was however missing from the otherwise valuable video - at some point you MUST add clearing your cover garment to your practice! If we're CCing we're of necessity not open carrying. I would do a whole lot of training using snap caps and just saying bang bang bang or better yet using an Airsoft pistol before going live fire. This is really valuable training and practice you can do in the comfort of your home before you head out to a range that will allow this type of shooting.

    Take care,
    Bill K.

Help me with the math here or tell me what I am missing.

Day and night percentages should add up to 100%, shouldn't they???? Because if they didn't happen during the day or at night, when did they happen????

Maybe the FBI has a third category for time of day....
( as a federal agency, time shifting is considered routine)
