    Tell me about the Emerson feature? Looks like a nice thumb rest but it's gotta be designed for something else. I just ain't smart enough to know what it is for.

    The hook you see on the back of the blade is intended to snag on your pocket as you draw the knife. The result is that the knife opens on the draw. I've never used a knife with this feature but I understand it works well.

    Years ago, when I was a young gang banger, we used to put a paper match between the handle and the blade. this casued the blade to be partially opened and would snag on the pocket when drawing the knife. Tough on pands and bellies if you got stuck with the tip.

    Another trick is to put one of little plastic fasteners through the hole, tighten it and cut off the excess. The little plastic thingy will snag on the pants pocket and open the knife.

    The hook just above the thumb hole catches on your pocket and opens the blade as you remove it. Here's a video from youtube that may explain it better.

    Question kahr pic thread?

    How come we dont have a kahr pic thread? other forums have member pic threads of there guns, sigs, glocks, smith, etc.......
