Slide won't stay open on CM40
Hello,
I had a jam problem with my CM40. I read on this forum that the slide spring was probably loose. Sure enough, it was. tightened it up, no more jams. Now, problem is, the slide won't stay open on the last round. Not a huge problem but would be nice if the gun functioned has designed. I bought this for a carry gun, but now questioning its reliabulity. So far, not too impressed.

You apparently tightened the spring down slightly out of position.
There's a good tutorial here some place, I'll go see if I can find it.

Scroll down to post # 5 and it shows how that little spring should be oriented.
You can also check to make sure you haven't bent it at some point which can cause bad things as well.
Once you get it positioned correctly it should be trouble free. We seldom hear of issues except for early one, getting bent during assembly etc.
Do use caution tightening that screw, only snug, don't want to strip out the polymer.
