My cw380 is the same way, light travel at first then smooth heavier pull. My cw9 is smooth consistent all the way though.

After a lot of use, you won't even remember how it felt when it was new. Parts "break in" and smooth out with use. If they don't, that's the time to discuss this with Kahr.
