Anyway, here is the little .410 Winchester Model 42 made in 1947 that my Grandpa gave me in 1956. The blue is at least 98%.
It has the solid rib barrel, full choke.
I last fired it in 1965.

    That Winchester is a beauty.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

That's absolutely gorgeous and you've obviously taken really good care of it. Course if you ain't shot it since 1965, you haven't had much opportunity to abuse it I reckon. You are a lucky man, that's a damn fine gun.

Well, I have never been much of a bird hunter, so that’s the reason why.
Maybe one of my grandkids or great-grandkids (if any) take up the sport.

That's one to be proud of Army. Whether you use it or not. I'll bet your Grandpa would be mighty pleased that you still have it, and that it looks as good as new!

I abstained from 1911s as long as I could. Then I kept hearing how good the Tisas 1911s are, and the Stingray started tickling my fancy. Well, I couldn’t resist, so here’s my new .45. Alloy frame, and a very impressive trigger, nice and crisp.

Been looking for a lightweight commander, that looks like it would fit the bill just right. Beautiful.

Don't hesitate, they're only about $600 shipped and though I haven't fired mine yet I have a good feeling about it.
