After several attempts I just pulled the trigger and then put the hammer in and it worked fine, kind of relieved I don't mind telling ya. I wasn't gonna bother with the trigger and hammer shims but figured since it showed in the video it was no big deal, so I did. Easier than I expected.
You are giving me some confidence by saying “Easier than I expected”. Hope I can say the same when the time comes.

It was a piece of cake really. I'm not mechanically gifted and have to work at it. As much as you've stripped things down it should be a no brainer for you. No brainer, maybe I should change my stage name. It fits and kind a sings.

    Sorry Colonel, it's been taken.

Howdy folks, my name is No Brainer Johnson. For the life of me I don't know why my two brothers Darrell gave me that nickname. But then again, my Pa, Mom's cousin Bert, had the same nickname. Must be an old family name.

Talking One More Gun for 2024

All this new gun talk is just too much to handle!
Ran across a NIB Sig P365 with NS @ $444.44 with free shipping and could no longer resist.
I always promise myself to shoot a new gun before buying upgrades.
As everyone here knows I'm a Big Liar.
So I immediately ordered the Wilson Combat grip module to go with it.
    Here we go again ...

That's a great price Barth. I don't know if what the Colonel said is true or not (mighty suspicious, as is typical) but that WC grip module sure looks cool! Congratulations on your new one!

Good choice Barth, and congrats on a nice gun! As Bird and the Colonel said, the WC grip modules are especially nice, I'm sure you'll love yours.

I added a straight trigger and a thumb safety to mine. LIke it better. They make a special frame to accommodate the safety but I just cut the little notch out for mine. Super easy 2 minute job to install.

Funny how Justin got it right so many years ago, and opted to make a DAO striker fired gun rather than a SAO with no safety. Sig and others still boggle my mind in that regard.

Agreed. With the others, I wonder if that maybe isn’t a business ploy, like is used with the sales and marketing of cars, new phases in housing developments, etc. Release a product that is new, shiny and has some sort of improvement in aesthetics, function, etc. Then release one that is better (looks, function, capacity, fixes a problem with the last model), so they buyer buys again and again. Leaves room for “inovation” that they already knew about before the first model was released, where as Justin went ahead and came out with it all up front. Just a thought.
There's a HUUUUUGE developement (has it's own zip code) down here by the name of The Villages. Folks buy a newly made house that is swell and dandy. Once all have been sold, next door they build them bigger, better, with more community amenities. The folks then sell the one they are in to upgrade to the newest. I've met MANY there who say they are in their 3rd, 4th, even 5th house in that place. The developers there are genious!
