    I've read of folks hiding in the trunk to get into the drive-in for free.
    In the early 70s in SoCal out in the high desert we had a three-screen drive-in.
    If I remember correctly, it was $3 per car, not person

    My dad’s ‘61 Impala had a big trunk and my buddies were not football players. One couple fit just fine..

    I remember my parents having all 4 of us kids in the trunk going to movies. At our drive in it was PER PERSON. I still remember going to see BEN HUR that way.
    It was in the trunk of a 53 Pontiac.
