I think Microsoft pioneered Minimum Viable Product and first to market wins.
I know that's software but really believe it's true for everything.
Kahr is so late to the show that they are nearly irrelevant.
Sad because I love my MK40 Elite ...

Their new models and regular line models are too expensive. Tons of used models. Market is flooded with used models. Half the country has never heard of them. All of these things have been mentioned and is a detriment to Kahr. Why introduce new when you can't sell the old. They've soured many people on their product. Their triggers are always mentioned as a real plus, but between a long reset and their cost, too many other firearms to choose from especially in the SD market. Under any type of duress, you won't even notice the trigger. If that's all you can hang your hat on, apparently, it's not nearly enough. Plus, you're talking about a new generation coming up. Why would they purchase 1 Kahr when they can purchase 3 of many SD guns for the same price..............................

Unlike Windows, my T9 won’t cease to function or be totally unsupported if Kahr goes poof. But I may need to buy a second one for spare parts.

At this point, I think it is in the best interest to all for Kahr to not show up at the Shot Show. Sad, as I am or have been a huge fan, especially of their triggers. That said, I am lucky to own 4 Kahrs and still very worthy firearms for EDC. The New Improved Beretta APX A1 carry is as good or better trigger than the Kahr or at least very similar. Really glad I have one. Even though it is a single stack, which I actually like. The gun I am now interested in is the CZ Nocturne. A sweet SA/DAO gun.
PS About a year ago I did a 1,000 rd review of the GX4 and happy to say that gun still has not had one failure. Actually bought two. Taurus really did a great job on that gun. I want another 22.cal and the Taurus TX 22 is getting stellar reviews.

I don't think Kahr is going anywhere. If they don't show up at SHOT there won't be any Magnum Research, Auto Ordnance, Thompson or Desert Eagle.
I think maybe they are content where they are at. I don't know really. I've found that sometimes the old stuff is better than the newest, bigger, bestest.
There are more options now days than ever before and lots of very good ones. To each his own I reckon.

If Kahr would offer a K40 that will shoot 357SIG with the aid of an OEM drop-in barrel, I couldn't write a check fast enough! I don't need--and don't want--a double-stack Kahr that has a rail on its chin, front serrations, an optics-cut slide, or any of the other pistol accoutrements du jour, thank you!

I own an APX A1 carry, and personally I don't think there is any similarity between the Kahr trigger and the A1 trigger. I don't think that one is necessarily better than the other. Overall, I think the A! trigger is better for SD because it has a shorter reset and shorter pull, allowing you to shoot a tad faster. Otherwise, both nice triggers IMHO................

I thought you owned the A1 compact. When did you get the Carry?
