Thread: P9 night sights question

  1. #1

    Default P9 night sights question

The P9 (purchased post 2019) is my favorite carry gun. However, it is lacking night sights. Time to upgrade I think.

Found a couple options on eBay. I see Truglo TG13KA1PC Kahr Set TFX Pro Tritium/Fiber-Optic Day/Night Sights as an option.

Also I see TruGlo TGTG13KA1A TFX fiber optic night sights fits Kahr arms models.

Both sights claim to fit the post 2004 Kahr P models. However the images on both show a set screw of sort in the middle of the rear sight. See image below.

Will these work with my P9?

    Anyone have luck with this?

    Thanks!

Hard to tell the dovetail angle, I would assume it's correct given the dates. The set screw is pretty common and a little insurance if the fit isn't 100%. Probably will require a bit of fitting, they all do. Run the flat across some fine sandpaper or a fine file until the sight will start about halfway with a bit of pressure and should be good to go. Must be something in the tubes to make them night sights. Personally I like the top set a bit better than the bottom, must be the white around the front sight.

Just make sure that the set screw doesn't protrude during installation or removal. I have those on at least one Kahr.

Thanks for the input all. Local store is running a "no sales tax" February. Ordered a set of Truglo sights through them and they will install. Will post updates when I get them.

Now to find a rear sight for the CM9....

Check out Dawson Precision -- I've had really good results with them on Kahrs and S&W too.
