Perhaps a better man than I could be successful at it bit I was a dismal failure on that project.

Wish I knew how to checker metal. I'd be plumb busy for a while.
I used something like a muffler clamp around the grip to start my straight horizontal starter lines and a straight edge or shallow piece of angle iron against the frame for my vertical starter lines. After that is just a matter of using the previous lines to guide your checkering file. Alternate from vertical to horizontal a little at a time or else the file will jump as you cut across lines

    Bawanna,

I think we just added another gun genius to the think tank! With a wife that is super savvy and competent with guns! Wow!
    Very interesting...

I missed the part where you said you did the checkering yourself! It looks like you did a perfect job of it.

Jfootin is correct, another genius in the think tank. I admire your talent and wish I had the guts to try checkering one of mine. But hold me! I'm scared.

Couple MK9's. One for wife and one for me. Hopefully they won't be the last.

I bought this CW9 for my wife a couple of weeks ago. We both love it! I may have to get me one or maybe a CW40.

This is why you dont put me on gardening duty. I find my own ways of being productive.

Zunkted, please forgive me for stealing your intellectual property. Yours looks much better.

Gorgeous flowers! My wife would love them. I wonder if they would grow in Arizona.

Please tell us what they are . . . the gun I recognize.
It would be so nice if something made sense for a change.
