Desert Eagle did that well. Came out with a canon size gun in 357. Everybody wanted one. Then they came out with the 44 magnum, everybody wanted one. Then they came out with a conversion kit to turn the 357 into a 44. The list goes on. Brilliant.
I was at a Sportsmans show in a much earlier life when the Desert Eagle first came out. At their booth I ran into a heck of a nice guy who took the time to completely Bird, I mean disassemble the gun. He really knew his stuff and it was quite interesting and fun to watch. I still didn't buy one and I wasn't rich then either but still fun.
