    I think I forgot to update that I finally send my original SS LCP (unofficial gen 2) back to the mothership for FTF.
    Ruger replaced the barrel and some other stuff for free (including shipping)
    Now it runs Hornady XTP Custom JHPs just fine
    Thanks Ruger.
    I carry the little monster all the time, either as a primary or backup to a larger gun.
    Thought about the new MAX, but I don't even like the LCP with an extended mag.
    Sometimes bigger isn't necessarily better

    They had me crimp the loop on the hammer spring. That didn’t help.

    They sent me a new hammer spring. That didn’t help.

    I also tried the Galloway set but the result was the same.

    I’ve since returned the pistol to stock form.
